United to Learn

Watch the garden grow! We were pleased to assist Lee A. McSahan Jr. Elementary School with its on-campus community garden! Through our Community Campus Day program and with the help of so many including school liaison, Lene Godat, Jesuit volunteers, and The Plant Concierge, the McShan garden was transformed and includes a bounty of beautiful lettuce, radishes, broccoli, and cauliflower! To quote the McShan principal, Mr. Medaris, “This project allows students not only the opportunity to learn gardening but it also allows the community to benefit from the fruits and vegetables (if you will) of our labor”.
